I am one with this city

가운데 흐르는 강은

The river runs through it

내 피부를 대신하고

Takes the place of my skin

지나가는 버스의 광고판은

And the billboards

내 혀를 대신해요

Take the place of my tongue그럼에도 불구하고 나는

Even so,

영어를 잘 못해요

I’m still not good at English

내게 아무것도 주지 않아도 돼요

You don’t have to give me anything—

좋은 것도 싫은 것도

Not the good, not the bad

진작에 전부 내 몸과 바꿨어요

I already traded all of that for my body long ago.

그렇지만 내게서 말을 빼앗아가지 마세요
